Pool-opolis!

You heard it here first:
Poolopolis.
or
Pool-opolis.

As in Metropolis, Superman's town.
Or as in, Megalopolis.

In this case, it is Pool-opolis,
or, Pool City,
a place where pool is what it's all about.
Good name for a pool hall?
Or a place that sells pool stuff?

I Googled "Pool-opolis"
and got nothing.
Now that I have posted this bloglet,
there will be one, and only one
instance of this word on the web.

This is called a GoogleWhack.
Techies like these things.

Remember, you heard it here first.

Great! Maybe the "O" though, should be removed, because the "O" comes from the other words that attach to "polis". For example, Metropolis is a combination of Metro and Polis, measured or boundaried city; and megalopolis is a combination of megalo and polis, million-numbered or million-populated polis (city); and cosmopolitan/cosmopolis is a combination of cosmo and polis, universal city; and so on; so "poolopolis" has an extra letter stuck in, an "O" in the middle that belongs to neither word, pool or polis. Of course maybe some people think it would sound better than "poolpolis", so I guess that would justify the sticking in of an extra supererogatory letter. Either way, it works for me. History is being made.

I guess I am not alone in making this mistake, Mike. Google shows many others such as Game-opolis, Zen-opolis, Lego-opolis, etc.
