I may have got my last comment wrong. The 8-ball at The Boulevard is Wednesday night, not Tuesday. And I think the venue's actually called BLVD -- that's what the sign says anyway.

Here's a coupla smaller tournaments that could use support to keep them goin.... On the Rocks Cocktails (used to be janies) in Chula Vista.MONDAY Nights Has an 8 ball,call pocket,no safties,no ball in hand,double elimination,$5 entry fee..starts around 8ish.. Lisa the bartender is sucha sweetheart that everyone should go just for her company..

The Mermaid House in National City.24th & Highland.(a bit north of 24th corner of parking lot next to a tire shop) SUNDAY Nights 5pm there's an 8 ball,call pocket,no ball in hand,double elimination,$5 entry fee,no safeties,tournament. Great bar.under new ownership,different patronage than before the word is,this bar lacks the fallowing that it deserves.. y'all should take a moments time and pay a visit if u can't make the Sunday event.pretty discreat location,a rather calming atmosphere..
There is a Sunday night 9 ball tournament at ozone billiard cafe off convoy. Really really nice place. 7 Chinese JUS gold crown copies. 9 footers. 2 9ft diamonds and a 6x12 snooker table. Really good players too. They do an ABC handicap

Channel 1 has a 8 ball tournament Monday's and Tuesdays's at 8pm in Serra Mesa.
Pal Joey's on Warring Road exit off 8 freeway also has a tournament on Monday's.

There is also a pool tournament up in alpine on Wednesday At 6pm it is team pool, double elimination 8-ball games. It is part of the VFW though.
Check on one at George's near 125/52 think the street is Mission Gorge Rd.
