Competition vs. Practice

In reviewing Saturday's visit by El Maestro,
I sense that my competitive spirit was much diminished,
my focus was scattered.

I think one reason for this is that
when I shoot pool with El Maestro,
it is not a real competition,
so I don't play tough,
I take chances on some shots,
experimenting as I would in practice.

There is no practice better than real competition.

To get "tournament tough",
I must play tough tournaments.
